Canada Requires:

Experience: 

​

 100hrs of Flight Time

 You'll Need to Provide Validation with a Certified Logbook

​

Medical: 

​

Must Hold a TCCA Medical Class 1

The Examination Must be Done by a Transport Canada Certified Doctor

​

Under 40YRS: Update Medical Every 12MONTHS

Over 40YRS: Update Medical Every 6MONTHS

​

Provide Proof of Identification: 

Passport/ Photo ID/ U.S. Driver's License

​

Which Must include: 

Photo, Date of Birth, Signature & Residential Address

​

Must take an English Language Proficiency Exam: Min. Level 4

​

​

Knowledge:

​

 - Pass the Written Examination with

   Transport Canada on Air Law & Communications. 

​

Subjects to Study: 

​

 - Air Law & Procedures

 - Air Frame & Systems 

 - Theory of Flight

 - Meteorology 

 - Instruments

 - General Navigation 

 - Navigation Radio Aids

 - Flight Operations 

 - Human Factors

No Additional Flight Test is Required

 - Aerodynamics and Theory of Flight

 - Airframes, Engines, and Systems

 - Flight Instruments

 - Radio and Electronic Theory

 - Navigation 

 - Flight Operations 

 - Human Factors, Pilot Decision-Making

 - 10hrs of Night Flying

5HRS Solo & 5HRS Dual Training

   - 2hrs Dedicated to Cross Country Flights

​

Note: Not completing a night rating will restrict the pilot to day-time flying only.

​

Note: The holder a CPL(H) Issued by another country will have been considered to have met all the ground school requirements if all the required subjects were completed. As well, the required flight training must be obtained.
